The Importance of Good Hygiene and Nourishment

As children we are taught about bodily hygiene and why it is important to have a bath/shower and to brush our teeth daily. We are also taught to be aware of the foods we eat and make sure they are clean and healthy.

That's all very well, but how come children are not taught the importance of good mental hygiene and mental nourishment? I believe as our actions and behaviour are caused by our beliefs, thoughts and feelings, the importance of mental hygiene and nourishment is paramount. I certainly believe it is as I'm constantly being bombarded with all sorts of thought-forms that are not in harmony with who I am.

Just as most people cleanse themselves with soap and water, I also take frequent showers where I visualise liquid golden light pouring through my consciousness and dissolving all thought-forms that are not in harmony with who I am. I then project light to all realities and see it blessing all. I practise this exercise as often as I can during the day. I find taking a light shower is a fun way to pass away long bus journeys.

I also nourish myself with liquid light. I see my senses as instruments for me to absorb light.

Other ways I nourish myself mentally are: chanting, affirmations, prayers, thinking of and reading about things that inspire me, contemplatting Truth, meditation, loving myself, doing what I love, thinking of things or people I love, being in stillness, and listening to the Inner Silence (see Ultrasound).

I feel good.
