They're Playing My Songs

While I was archiving my articles, I noticed a post where I had posted the video of the song, "Imagine" by John Lennon. I happen to LOVE that song and I hummed it to myself. After that I worked on another article called Peace on Earth. While I was writing the article, I thought of a related article called Give Peace a Chance, which was inspired from The Beatles song of the same name. I hummed the song to myself.

Later on my way home, I popped into the local supermarket which has a television that shows news reports. On the screen was an advert for John Lennon songs with John singing "Imagine." Fancy that! Then I headed into town to one of my favourite bookshops. I like sitting in the music department where they have lots of books about musicians, and listening to whatever music they're playing at the time. My attention was drawn to a book cover. The guy reminded me of the British singer, Morrissey. When I looked closely I realised it was Johnny Cash.

As I was reading the book I had with me, I noticed they'd changed the album and the song that came on was "Give Peace a Chance." How funny! I sang along to the chorus. While that song was playing, I heard one shop assistant saying he was going to get The Smiths album. Morrissey used to be the lead vocalist of The Smiths before he went solo. As soon as the "Give Peace a Chance” song finished, the assistant replaced it with "The Smiths" album.

Thank you, Universe, for playing my songs.
