Will Power

Last night, I watched the World's Strongest Man on television, which included the amazing Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Even though Mariusz was my favourite, I found myself rooting for all the guys and willing them to do well. As I was willing the guys, I felt this power pouring out of me. If a competitor couldn't lift something, I poured more power on him. At one point, Mariusz injured his hamstring and had to rely on pure power to keep him going. The eventual winner (Mariusz) was the one who was open to receive as much power as he needed to succeed.

I believe we all have unlimited power within us that we can all tap into. The Power doesn't judge how we use it; it's rather like electricity that I can use to charge a computer, mobile phone, fridge, light a house etc. Only people make judgments about its use. I'm reminded of the sci-fi films Star Wars where there is a constant battle between two monastic orders the Jedis (light) and the Sith (darkness) who are trying to gain control of the Force. The Force is the ubiquitous power in the universe. Following are the Jedi and Sith codes.

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.
The Jedi Code

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall set me free.
The Sith Code
As you can see both sides have made up what the Force means for them. In truth, the Force doesn't judge; it's up to each individual to use the Force how they see fit. That is what freewill is about.

I believe I have infinite power within me.
I believe the power is always active.
I believe the power doesn't judge; I can use it for whatever suits my purpose.
I believe the power supports my every thought, word or deed.
I believe all life is sustained and nourished by this power.

Thank you Mariusz et al for reminding me of the power I have within me.

May the Force be with you all.
