Let it Snow!

"When you can accept all that you are, you can accept others, as they are all aspects of self." Acceptance

As I was walking home yesterday it started to snow. Great, that's all I need! At least it wasn't settling on the ground. I hoped it wouldn't last but it just snowed harder and my jacket was covered. I didn't have any gloves on which I don't tend to wear as they're too fiddly for my liking. I put my umbrella up. As my fingers were frozen stiff, I kept swapping my hands, keeping one hand in my coat pocket to keep it warm and using the other to carry the umbrella.

As I walked, I thought to myself that's it's about time I addressed my dislike of snow. If I don't tackle it now, it's only going to keep bugging me.

I believe there is only One Intelligence appearing as the many forms and experiences. In other words, the ONE expressing as me taking this walk, is the same ONE expressing as the snow. Instead of wishing for the snow to go away why not just accept the snow for who he is being.

Yeah, why not? Apart from my frozen fingers, the snow is not doing any real harm.

I decided to see the snow as my dear friend who is expressing himself in the way he knows how. I may not agree with his ways but I accept him as he is and allow him to express himself in a way that works for him.

After that, I was no longer bothered whether it snowed hard or not at all. It even felt warmer and my fingers thawed out. I had a feeling the snow was thanking me for accepting who he is. Then it stopped snowing and I walked the rest of the way in dry weather.

I accept life as it is, as they are all aspects of the one Self.
